The Legendary Silver Dollar Saloon

I ordered a turkey club, which consisted of a sad pile of warmed deli meat, melted cheese, and a tiny piece of bread, all lacking any flavor. We also tried two different catfish dishes; these were just over-fried, thin pieces of fish with no taste, coated in burnt breading. The fries were overly crispy and hard, requiring a generous helping of ketchup just to chew them, and the wings were similarly overcooked. The Reuben sandwich was drenched in too much sauce and also lacked flavor. The only recommendation I can make is for the onion rings. When I asked the waitress for new fries, she simply said, “I’ll tell the fryer.” Be aware that the main entrees are overpriced, with sides charged extra. Our bill totaled $160 for a meal that was flavorless and unpleasant, coupled with very poor service. I just don’t want anyone else to be disappointed like we were.

Great atmosphere but service is terrible, didn't have a chance to even taste our food because we left before we had a chance to eat because we sat for over an hour and a half.

Cool place with great atmosphere, wish they had a child menu though.

This place is definitely legendary. Well worth the stop when visiting Leadville if you're looking for an authentic western bar. Beer food prices are very reasonable.

Arrived just after noon with a party of 11. Prior to seating, the gentleman in the front was complaining how busy it was already and that they would be backed up until 3:00. My wife had the Turkey breast, bacon and cheddar sandwich which was horrible. The turkey was so dry and she could not eat it, tasted so bad. I had the Chicken Fried Yak (see photo) which was actually very good. Service was so so…you had to get your own water and they had no straws for the ladies to drink their pop. Atmosphere was pretty cool. Parking in Leadville is very poor…people driving around looking for spots.
