Luna's Mexican - League City

This place offers excellent Tex-Mex cuisine in a cozy setting. I only shared a photo of the appetizer (apologies for that) as I wanted to focus more on the entrée. They prepared a top-notch shelf margarita for my wife, and she loved it!

When I requested some chips and salsa, I was quoted $4.50 for a pint of red salsa and $4.95 for a pint of green salsa. Honestly, why would I need that much salsa for a small child’s meal? To make matters worse, I also didn’t receive a drink with my order. Upon seeing these charges, I told Ivan that I felt ripped off and refused to pay for the extra sauces, insisting he remove them from the bill. My total was $21.91 for a KIDS MEAL! After he took off the charges, I discovered there weren’t any chips included with the order either. If Ivan had any knowledge of good customer service, he would have offered to bag the leftover chips from our table and provide a small cup of the remaining red salsa. I shouldn’t have had to ask the busser for that. I would have tipped Ivan at least $10 if he hadn’t tried to overcharge me, but instead, he only received $2 for that bill. The final bill was only $11, and I also gave him a $5 tip for my portion of the overall bill out of sympathy, even though I didn’t think he deserved it. I know how hard the restaurant industry can be, but I’m really tired of experiencing poor service in this area. It seems to stem from a lack of proper guest service training. Hey, Ivan, maybe you should try smiling and adjusting your attitude a bit—you might find that it leads to better tips! I’m not sure I’ll return anytime soon.

Is this your first time here? I just picked up my order and it was incorrect, so I had to come all the way back. I called the restaurant and clearly explained what I wanted. However, the person on the phone insisted that my order should come with corn tortillas instead. When I asked if they could use flour tortillas, he said they couldn't and suggested they would have to throw the food away. His attitude was very rude, and I was truly disappointed. I won't be coming back, and it was frustrating for my family and friends as well. I was so tempted to take back the tip I left, but I managed to stay calm. This experience certainly warrants a bad review.

This place had delicious food, great prices, and a fun atmosphere. The service was kind but was a bit slow to check in on us, even when it wasn?t a very busy night. The food was amazing though. Delicious, tasty, and massive serving sizes!

The food came quickly, which is great, but the service must speed up. not sure whether it is lacking in waiter or only lacking in dringiness. I was here for lunch or drinks. usually really good. today the margaritas tasted like watered rubbing alcohol. the tacos were in order, the cheese enchilada midday plate was blanching. the service was not very attentive. this visit is not worth the $56 we have spent today. please do it better.
