From the snacks at the beginning, which were very nice, through all the principal courses, the quality of cookery and dishes was very high. The wine was paired beautifully, and...the service was very pleasant. The dining experience was very memorable.
We plumped to eat here to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday. She lived it and so did we! Lovely friendly staff and delicious food in comfortable and tastefully decorated surroundings.
Opted for the tasting menu with Gluten free option. The chef did a brilliant job, meal was tasty and where able to, meals option tailored for G.F option. Pleasant and friendly staff helped making this experience all that bit better. Tasty meal was had all...round. Compliments to the chef.
I would have loved to have given a full 5 star review for our visit but couldn’t because of the unprofessional, abrupt slightly unwelcoming manner of the maitre d’. I hope for the venues sake it was just that we unluckily caught him on...an off day (or maybe he was a stand in) as he was the only flustered unprofessional member of staff we were served by all night. Once taken from the lounge to our beautiful table we were utterly spoilt with exceptional food service from 8pm to 12 pm in a manner totally deserving a Michelin star. I am not normally a reviewer, however I felt on this occasion I needed to so hopefully when the 4 of us return again, we along with all other patrons might get the same professional service in the lounge as we enjoyed in the restaurant. We do regularly eat out at fine dining restaurants we thoroughly recommend Mallory Court -Chris d’Araujo
At £69.50 per person, the tasting menu should be pretty good, but it wasn 't to our taste, indeed my wife could hardly eat it at all. It 's very complicated and they 've put the work in, but everything was terribly sweet, apart from the small main...course (which was the one excellent part). We were given a couple of good rolls each, which is an accepted but salty way of providing carbohydrates and the many amuse bouches , tastes of , etc. were also fairly salty (as well as sweet) and not very interesting. Even the savoury course was a bit sweet. Service was average. If you have a sweet tooth, you may love this meal. I wonder if I could pretend to have a sugar allergy next time.
