The Roasterie Café - Leawood

You saved my life: Roasterie employees are an absolute jewel. It took about a year to get to this review. I was too embarrassed to say something and do it for a year, but I will never forget what the staff at Leawood Roasterie did for me. Last year I came to the Roastery for a morning to get me after a lot of personal problems. I couldn't keep a straight face on the edge of tears. The lady at the counter asked me if I were all right and I just stepped in tears, how ugly weep loudly. The barista behind the counter came up and asked me if he could give me a hug and I accepted. He told me he was so sorry that this happened to me (although he had no idea what happened) and let me just cry. A COMPLETE stranger. They gave me my drink for free and extra water on the side. I was on the absolute edge and only her gestures of goodness brought me back into reality. After my tears, I siped my chai latte calmly and it felt like I had taken sunshine and comfort. There's no day I don't remember her kindness.

I really loved the Granola Apple Goodie Yogurt Parfait. At first, I thought it was pricey, but after my first bite, I realized it was worth every penny. I ended up paying $25 for it, and it was absolutely delicious!

The Honey Rose Latte is absolutely delicious! I tried it iced today, and it was fantastic! Thank you!

I tried the honeycomb Frappuccino, and it was the best coffee drink I've ever had. It had a subtle honey flavor paired with vanilla, and when I reached the bottom, it wasn't just a pile of hard ice to struggle through. The staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I hope to return the next time I'm in the area.
