The service at the restaurant was very poor today. Our pot of tea was served quickly, but no one returned to take our food order. After about 20 minutes, we flagged down a staff member who told us she would be back, but never returned. After waiting for 30 minutes and finishing our tea, we gave up and left. This was only my second visit to the tea party despite living locally. My first visit was similar, with no attention upon arrival, so I left after ten minutes and never returned. I decided to give them another chance today, but was very disappointed. We ended up visiting another local cafe and had a lovely lunch there.
My wife and I recently dined at The Tea Party in Lee-on-Solent for an Afternoon Tea, courtesy of friends. We were pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the freshly made sandwiches, oversized scones, and delicious assortment of cakes. The attentive and hardworking staff truly made our experience worthwhile. We wholeheartedly recommend The Tea Party to anyone in the area.
Jacket potato and filling cost £11 and potato wedges as a side cost £5.50 with only 5 potato wedges in a portion that is £1.10 per potato wedge! There was only one panini for £9 not the two that the website picture shows. We wouldn’t have stayed as the menu was so limited with no daily specials available but we were with two disabled people so we felt trapped as it took so long to be seated. The staff were apologetic about prices and blamed suppliers. I was a customer but never again
Had a beautiful afternoon tea, our food was brought to us very quickly, the Ladies that work there were great they asked us if our food was okay and if we wanted more drinks, we will be returning soon, well done Ladies keep up the good work
