I am tired of going out for dissapointing Sunday dinners, knowing I could make better at home so I was delighted by the quality of food offered here. The meat was of the highest quality and cooked to perfection. The gravy was homemade and truely devine (no Bisto here). The Yorkshire puddings were huge and the veg lovely and fresh (no soggy broccoli for a change). This was followed by a luscious Baileys mousse with home made shortbread. It is refreshing to find a pub that takes pride in their food and offers above standard produce. I would highly recommend it and the prices are favourable too £12 for 2 courses. A lovely pub in nice surroundings, it is my new favourite Sunday haunt.
A nice little village pub. Good beer, not bad prices, great atmosphere and the food is supposed to be excellent. I keep meaning to try the food but usually and up going here after I've eaten. A few of my friend have highly recommended it so I will be trying in the very near future.
What a great place! The most impressive thing is that the food is all made from scratch and you can tell. I had the greek lamb plate which was plentiful, 2 juicy lamb chops, 2 greek lamb balls and 2 chicken skewers. All this with fresh pita and homemade hummus. The person I was with had fillet steak which was also cooked to perfection and accompanied by a proper salad, chips and onion rings. The service was impeccable and it was very interesting to hear all about the life of the train station that now houses the Buffers!
