The Roundhay Pub - Leeds

We come to this pub often , however recently noticed a significant difference in the food quality. We ordered a steak flatbread, when this arrived the flatbread was covered in liquid and was extremely soggy. Unsure if it was grease from the steak or veg but it was unedable. We notified the member of staff. He spoke with the manager but because we had eaten some of the steak we couldn't have a refund. The steak was eaten before we lifted the flatbread. Extremely disappointed with this service.

Had a great night drinking yardbird ale in the lounge bar with the interesting and friendly locals and staff. The place is captained by the brilliant manager leesa, a funny and strange little woman with the quirks and foibles of an eccentric geriatric. Floating around the bar serving customers effortlessly is the elegant and beautiful Charlotte. Or was it Charlene ?? Then appeared the lovely Jess , well spoken and very friendly but with a slightly sinister but intriguing dark side. The best was yet to come. Christine sauntered through the bar with a big cheeky, cheesy smile “evening ladies and gentlemen, everyone okay ? “ She said. Every person in the bar seemed to smile in unison, including the nearby dog, Stella. She , and the rest of the crew kept us entertained all evening with various tales and comments. Can’t wait to go back for more.

Had a fantastic meal on Saturday it’s not very often i have a saturday night off as i works nights. We had steaks that were cooked to perfection. will be back again, thanks to all the staff.

Booked a table for 10 tried to add 3 people but got no reply. Arrived and no table reserved ended up putting tables together ourselves but unfortunately there was not enough space so ended up on different tables. We all order separately bills but all at the same time. Some items came on come bills and other arrived later. One meal didn’t come and when we asked they had given it to another table and hadn’t even started cooking a replacement. But they made no effort to let us know. We order 3 drinks on the app and they sat on the back bar for 20 minutes until I went and collected them myself. The post mix gas ran out and they just stopped serving pop. The beer was sour which suggest the lines have not been cleaned in awhile. And to top it all off they came to ask if the meals were ok long after we had made a complaint. Do the staff not talk to each other? Terrible won’t go back.

Came for lunch and ordered the chick ‘n’ mix chicken breast was tiny and chicken thigh was basically a lump of shrivelled skin. Came served on a huge tray which made the food look even smaller and less appetising. Service left a lot to be desired too; staff either abrupt or vacant.
