Syrtaki - Leer (Ostfriesland)

Nice greek restaurant in central Leer. It is just round the corner from the railway station.

We were 1 adult and 2 children visiting this restaurant. The food was nice. The service was quick and very friendly staff. No menues in English, but with helpful staff that was not a problem.

At Syrtaki the service is fast, efficent and very friendly. The food is better than at most greece restaurants. It's our favorite in Leer. They have got an extensive menu with the usual choices. If you want to visit, book well in advance! It is very busy in the evenings and before Xmas it's almost impossible to get a table at weekends.

This a standard Greek restaurant serving a wide variety of Greek starters and main courses, with Ouzo shots to help wash it down. It is very popular with the locals and is part of the BW Frisia Hotel building in the centre of Leer, close to the Railway Station and the traffic-free main shopping street.

Greek restaurants are plentiful, and it does take some effort to stand out in a positive way. This one did not try very hard, but did give an "as expected impression". Food was fine and plentiful. Mild taste, and a bit boring. The others in the party was satisfied enough to go there the next evening also. The ouzo was complementary before and after the meal.
