We enjoyed this place mostly. We were talking about the beautiful gardens and views when I needed to use the restroom.I walked downstairs to use the restroom. After washing my hands, I used the paper towels to dry my hands and then turn the water off. The woman next to me, who clearly worked there because she had a kitchen apron on, turned to me and said, “you must not have a well where you live.” I was a little confused and wondering what that had to do with anything and then I realized it’s because I waited to turn the water off with my paper towel (to avoid touching the dirty handle) as opposed to turning it off immediately. I’m pretty sure it’s a health code violation to wear a kitchen apron in the bathroom but I didn’t feel the need to point that out to her in the way she felt the need to be rude to me.It’s too bad I felt this hostility from an employee because we had just been talking about how everyone else was so nice and how it was our favorite NOVA winery we had visited so far. And, for the record, I grew up with a well and I’m still massively confused as to why she was so offended by my hand washing routine. Maybe their well is running dry but ours was always plentiful.
We were a group of six, and really enjoyed the sparkling rose and something white blend at the Fabbioli Cellars winery. Lovely grounds with beautiful views and flowers, and very friendly and nice staff.
We did a paired tasting for four and every single wine was fantastic. The other wineries we tried in the Leesburg area didn't even come close to the quality here. Highly recommend, we will be going there again to purchase wine again in the future!
Beautiful place with great music. Having a chilled glass of peach sangria on a perfect Sunday afternoon.
