Kovi Asian Street Food Kitchen

--- I recently had the chance to try the Kovi food truck that’s set up at our job site, so my review is specifically about the food truck service rather than the restaurant itself. I ordered a bulgogi dish, which I was able to customize to my taste, and it was absolutely delicious! The presentation was beautiful, and the two people running the truck were incredibly friendly and helpful. I also tried a banh mi sandwich, and it was just as tasty. I would definitely recommend checking out their restaurant to see what else they have to offer, as both dishes were fantastic and disappeared in no time! --- Let me know if you need any changes!

This place used to be fantastic, but during our last three visits, it's been steadily declining. The kimchi is now served warm and isn't enjoyable at all, and the meat is dripping with excess fat. It's a shame because my wife and I loved coming here almost weekly for years. They haven't had air conditioning for months, the staff seem unhappy, and the overall cleanliness has greatly diminished. I genuinely hope they can turn things around, but I’m worried they won’t last much longer at this rate.

In my opinion, the food tastes overly American rather than Asian or Vietnamese. The rice quality was subpar, reminiscent of instant-minute rice. While you can create a decent bowl with some interesting options like edamame and seaweed, I found the sauce to be excessively sweet, with a flavor similar to ketchup. I would suggest trying something else, as they do offer a tofu option that might be better. Additionally, I recommend steering clear of the sauces; the one I tried with the pork was particularly disappointing.

I had to throw that away. it smells bad as soon as I opened the lid. I'm afraid the thunfish and laughs might sit one because I ordered the Poki bowl because it smells really fish.

Sadly this place has gone straight downhill since the original owners sold out. There are times when they are completely out of the ingredients needed to build a simple Kovi bowl of any sort.
