Rj's Deli And Store - Leesburg

I was staying at the Comfort Inn next door and was told this place was good. When I ordered my sandwich, the menu listed it for $8.99. However, when it was time to pay, the man at the counter tried to charge me $12.99. When I questioned him about it, he stated that the prices had changed, but they didn't want to update the menu. This is completely unacceptable and absolutely ridiculous. I politely declined to pay the inflated price, and the man started to argue with me, so I decided to leave. Bait and switch tactics are not acceptable anywhere, and I won't be back.

With our usual local Italian deli closed for Labor Day weekend, we decided to give RJ's a try for the first time, drawn in by its good rating and appealing photos online. However, our experience was disappointing. It's possible that RJ's is under new management or perhaps we encountered a weekend crew, but the quality of the food we received was far below what we typically enjoy at our other deli. What we were served bore little resemblance to the enticing images we had seen online, and unfortunately, we won't be returning to RJ's.

I'm discovering that a restaurant's location outside the downtown area doesn't determine its quality. For those of you who follow my posts, you know how much I enjoyed Primo's and also what I've tried at Honey Baked Ham. However, if you're in search of authentic Italian cuisine (or something close), this is the place to go. If you've ever been to the deli in Herndon, you'll find that this place is a perfect replica; they are nearly the same! Regardless, the service and hospitality were excellent, and the sandwiches were delightful.

We have lived here for a few years and never tried this place, until tonight! Our new go to sub shop. The guy at the counter was very nice and helpful! Subs were fantastic! Highly recommend.

Some amazing subs! This is a spot for foodies and meat lovers to gather and celebrate the joys of flavor. I am sad I am not from here so I do not get to try the entire menu. True family-owned gem, absolute must try.
