Groby Fish Shop - Leicester

One of the best places for delicious fish and chips in the LE3 and LE6 areas! The food is freshly cooked, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable, and the restaurant is clean. There are picnic tables outside for nice weather, as well as a few seats inside. Since the meals are freshly prepared, there might be a bit of a wait, but it's definitely worth it. Parking can be somewhat challenging as the village gets busier, but there is street parking nearby and the Coop next door also offers some options.

I am thrilled to have the best fish and chip shop nearby! The food has been consistently excellent for many years, and the friendly, professional service is a huge plus. The chips really taste like potatoes, the squid is always large and juicy, and the chicken tikka kebab meat is incredible! A regular portion is enough for two adults, and it’s great for sandwiches the next day. Enjoy!

I had my first visit to the restaurant, and I found the young staff to be very friendly. It was quite busy, but the fish was crispy and the curry sauce was really delicious. However, I thought it was a bit pricey for just one portion.

Excellent. we had cod with chips. the cod was cooked by such high quality, to perfection in a beautiful and golden crisp teig. they were hot and fresh and a joy to eat.

Very nice food good portions too! fish was lovely not too battered and greasy! was a large que but even then it didnt take long for the food to come out
