It was my first outing to somewhere like this and I enjoyed the experience, fortunately my friend that I visited with showed me how I was meant to eat here as none of the food was labelled as to what it was, the sauces were the same, I know, you can tell what a shrimp looks like, but some of the other things were pot luck for the most part. Anywho, I thoroughly enjoyed the food, the waitress was very pleasant and attentive. The decor is a little spit and sawdust (chipboard paneling) The price was a little more than I'd expect to pay for the food, though far from a rip off. The 1 out of 5 with their food safety rating was somewhat of a concern, but I'm sure it's something they're working on. Overall a good experience, good venue for a casual dinner and shall return.
I visited this restaurant during a business trip to Leicester in June. I chose Kung Po Chicken with boiled rice and Chinese beer. The Kung Po was really tasty (if a little on the oily side). The service was excellent and I received very good value for money. Also, the menu was interesting and inventive (a little bit different from standard Chinese fare). I would definitely recommend.
The prices are quite high for the food served. The hotpot is just o.k, nothing in comparison to back home in Hong Kong. Lots of Chinese people eat here and i have been many times with my friends from university and sometimes it is pretty bad. But in general is o.k
We have been to this restaurant a few times, and the selection of food for hot pot is always the same with nothing different. The service is not really good as our table was full of plates, but none of the staff came to collect them.
There weren't many options for meats and vegetables given the price we paid. We did not enjoy the meal and do not plan on going back.
