Tadka - Leicester

I went with my partner expecting to enjoy some good drinks and food, but unfortunately the food was bland. Additionally, there was a 20% service charge added to our bill. Overall, not worth a visit.

The food at this restaurant was not good. The staff were impolite and the food was terrible. The dishes were poorly cooked and overall it was a disappointing dining experience.

We visited the restaurant on Friday at 7:00 pm, which is typically a peak time, but we were the only customers there. The atmosphere felt empty and cold. Additionally, the food was both terrible and expensive. The Sheek Kebabs were priced at £4.20 each, and the Methi Lamb was inedible - overly salty and tough. The dish had many grisly pieces of lamb left on the plate. The salad consisted of only three slices of cucumber, a tomato, and a lemon slice. When we complained about the lamb, the only response we received was an apology. We had dined at this establishment before it became Tadka, and the food was excellent then. We will not be returning.

I don't know where to start so many things they can't get right at this place. Firstly and mist importantly the food doesn't taste right, for example the butter chicken tastes nothing like butter chicken. Mixed grill just has raw onions chucked on top and several other dishes do not taste how they should. There is a 20% service fee which is extortionate for the lack of service!. For example one dish not arriving, no cutlery , having to ask for bill several times etc, works out more expensive than other places which have a better standard.
