The Coronation - Leicester

Food was good but the beer was really watered down. Never had a Guinness where the forth disappeared leaving a very flat watery liquid. Same with the other beer. Server blamed it on new pipes, I blame it on watered beer. Guinness will not be impressed.

Had booked a table here for one of the England games. They had asked for a cash deposit in advance £5 pp), refundable on the day once we arrive. We were sat inside, they had done a good job of spacing tables out, and it was table service only. All the staff wore masks. Good selection of beers on tap. Deposit was handed back to me as promised, no hassle. Don't think they serve full on food, but there is a restaurant next door I think you can grab stuff from. Coronation may serve bar food, but didn't ask.

Nice pint of beer with friendly staff, can order food from the restaurant next door and bring into pub. We ordered some delicious spicy chicken wings that went down a treat with a beer. Great combo!! Will be back again!

We were told the food was good. The service was awful to say the least. They only had 2 bottles wine! Really in a restaurant, although there was bar on in restaurant side we were sent across to other side to the pub side to buy our drinks.. No one came to take out orders we had keep calling the waiters over, we had to wait over 2:30 hours to order, they only took half the orders so while of the group ate their meals the other hlaf eventually got to order. In total the meal start to finish 4:45 mins . Awful

Last minute decision to try this place out which is now called Spice Tree. Waited around 5 minutes for menus. Ordered drinks and waited what seemed like ages for them to arrive. When they did, pepsi tasted watery so got it changed but same thing again. Placed food order and waiter asked me to speak to chef as I wanted it made a certain way. Chef more than happy to help and when food arrived, delicious. Dishes slightly pricier than others places we go to but at least I got the food made exactly how I like it. BTW they have 2 seperate kitchens vegetarian and non veg so if you are a strict vegetarian, your food is not made near meat.
