The Bachstüb'l is not correct as a restaurant (because too small), as a café not sufficient (because more than this) and as a pub imperfect (because much to thrive). Despite the exceptional situation vis-à-vis the St. Thomas Church with a view to the Bach Memorial, one has not proved to be a magnet for Japanese, Dutch or American wallets. The Stüb'l thus remains a place in the best sense and is a pleasant place for locals and visitors alike. In recent days, I have used the lunch offer several times (Dayspasta at 3,80 EUR) and can therefore express myself only in this regard, but this is positive without exception. The daily changing offer consists not only of snouting with some sauce, but it is rather a pleasant culinary attention given to you. The pasta is always freshly prepared (for nothing for whole ilige) and simply and skillfully prepared. The section is optimal from the circumference, especially if you still have to work afterwards. The reduction on the plate contrasts ideally with the baroque creek and its Jugenstil organ on one side, on the other hand it is not surprising how the moderation and care with which everything is directed can create such a taste. The only explanation is the skill of the cook that makes the lunch break a short holiday. In connection with the very attentive service, there is room for joy and opportunity to later perhaps become philosophical.
Actually a nice cafe, a little high on average, very good, homemade cakes. The service beautiful, with a small but friendly bliss. NoGo: The double espresso costs over EUR 4 and is thin and bitter! This is a joke and a clear drop.
Beautiful old-fashioned café in the historic centre of Leipzig, directly at the Thomaskirchhof with views of the Bach monument included. Map and interior somewhat dreamy old-fashioned, but sympathetic. Two rooms: a rather pub-like room with bar and wooden benches, a coffee house style room with mirrors and chandeliers and with socket for tired laptop batteries in the corner ;o) Also on January 11 there are 2 Christmas trees and different candles, real and unreal. Nice.
