Gourmet Palast - Leipzig

Not the easiest place to find as google listed it as gopalace and walking directions got us to the street behind it. Lunch was a real bargain; basic drinks are all free and as usual at a lunch buffet the selections are more limited compared to dinners. We thought the foods we had were all good. Tram gets you about a half block away.

I visited with my Family with kids. The place is child-friendly, clean, spacious, Ambience is good. The buffet spread was huge and tasty. I liked their card system for drinks. Non-alcoholic drinks were free. The price was reasonable.

I know this chain from the restaurant in Hof, which always was top notch. The restaurant in Leipzig does not disappoint. If you go for lunch, there isn’t much choice of food, but enough if you need to quickly shovel in some food before heading nach to work. In the evening it is HEAVEN. So many different things to try, not only fresh meat and veg to grill, but also sushi and noodles, along with many other rice dishes. For desert there is ice cream, fountains of chocolate to dip fruit in as well as mini tiramisu and Creme brûlée! All non alcoholic drinks are free, although the alcohol is also nothing to be turned away. It’s really cheap in comparison to most places (unless you want a bottle of Sekt). The service is not what I would call friendly, but efficient and will clean your plate ready for the next before your food has even been digested.

We found this restaurant by accident online and would properly not have found it otherwise. It has just about everything you want to drink and eat. It doesn´t matter if you want mongolian barbeque with kangaroo, ostrich, crocodille or zebra, yummy cakes and fruit with a chocolate fountain or the yummiest sushies. You can get it all! You have loads of different beverages to choose from and not the cheap stuff. Everythng is so fresh and inviting and is absolutely the best asian buffet I have ever tried. I have never given a buffet 5 stars before, but when you go to this place you know why. I will be coming back and back and back and HOPE that the quality will remain as high as now.
