I stopped by for a pint or two but ended up having three. It was a cold day outside, but I was greeted with a warm welcome and a real wood-burning fire inside. Cathy, the bartender, was a fantastic hostess. I enjoyed hearing the locals chatting as I read my book. The Guinness was excellent, the service was great, and the atmosphere was inviting. Unfortunately, the kitchen was closed until Friday night. I also learned a new joke called 'addicted' from one of the regulars.
I went to this restaurant for lunch and ordered chicken wings and spring rolls. The portion of 4 mini spring rolls with a side salad was priced at €8, which I found to be very unsatisfactory. The chicken wings, which also seemed to be pre-packaged, were decent but tasted like they were covered in store-bought sweet and sour sauce. Unfortunately, the credit card machine was not working. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
Awful experience there were 13 of us on separate tables we were pleasant and not even loud , went in for food a couple of us got drink we were there only 30 minutes , went to the back open smoking area to sit and play pool we also sat at separate tables of 6 out there ,the bar woman was so rude to us just because we were 17 and 18 majority were 18 , the bar women told us we must leave as we all didn’t have Id. They served the people who were drinking without even asking for Id then had such a problem when we decided to go outside We weren’t doing any harm the pub was empty and told us we don’t have a responsible adult when 11 out of 13 were 18. It was like an effort to save us just as we were teenagers. Apparently you aren’t a responsible adult at 18 19 or 20. Was just an unpleasant experience after everyone had already been so rude down there to us all weekend.
