Contribuisci feedbackAs the Event Coordinator for a UK-based, high-end Classic and Supercar management company, we took a group 40 owners of (amongst others) Ferrari, Aston Martin, McLaren and Jaguar supercars to O Sabor Da Pedra for lunch as part of our recent European tour. Josi was extremely accommodating of our requirements, from our guests turning up at staggered times to dietary intolerances, nothing was too much. The food was delicious, Josi put together an incredible buffet featuring their renowned hams but also plenty of options for our guests who didn't eat meat. Incredible atmosphere, the perfect final lunch for our guests! Would thoroughly recommended.
We were driving from the San Fermin festivities to San Sebastián and I decided to turn off and find somewhere to eat. So I pulled the car over and checked Trip Advisor. I saw the excellent review from Espices6 now quite old) and then checked out the other reviews which are mainly in Spanish but equally excellent. So we de decided to head for Maskarada Denta it's also listed as Maskarada in Trip Advisor it's the same place). It's not that easy to find as we were expecting a restaurant type front in fact it's in the edge of industrial units. This is because the restaurant, also has a shop that is next to the factory where they process and dry the meats. As other people have mentioned this restaurant shop and factory are managed by a couple. The husband cooks and the wife runs the shop and the restaurant. They started with one farm and a few of the rare breed of pigs from the local area. They now have 3 farms and a 1,000 pigs which is 25% of the total population of this rare breed of pig. This pig is not very productive and has lots of issues but this couple are determine to keep the breed going. They now sell their meats restaurants all over France and Spain The food at this restaurant is simply exceptional it's all pig based so if you don't like pork or are a vegetarian this is definitely not for you. The food is cooked on an open fire in the kitchen which you can see clearly from the restaurant. We have been all over Spain on many occasions and my wife's family also produce their own hams and Chorizo they are from Galicia) but this was some of the best ham we have ever tasted. The service was impeccable. The wife served us and talked to us and explained all about what they were doing. The couples young boys popped into the restaurant as we were talking. We arrived at 2pm and it's was just us and another couple. When we left at 4pm it was packed and it was 100% packed. We didn't see an English menu and they all spoke very clearly for us and slowly when we asked) in Spanish and that explained all about the different dishes and where the hams came from in relation to the pig. I can't praise this place enough! It's 25 euros each drinks bread. Desert is included. They try to keep the prices reasonable and make the food the highest quality possible. This place is a real find. Thanks Trip Advisor reviewers, especially Esices6. I showed the lady the reviews and she was delighted but very keen to stress that they do everything to the highest quality and it shows. Worth a trip just to eat here and if you are driving between Pamplona and San Sebastián you must stop and eat here!!
Visiting Navarra region several times, and I was getting into a point that I would like to dine Cerdo Pio Negro. I have researched Aldudes, France, but my French understanding has been poorer than my Spanish. Just across the Pireneys Mountains, I have found this restrant. I took a bus from Pamplona to Lekunberri. This restrants locates about 7-8 minues away from a center of the town. A restrant and a kitchen are really modern Basque style! For Menu Gourmet, I had white asparagos and anchoas(? , which were seasonal vegitables in along with fresh Jamon together. And, really thin sliced meats were so delicious and juicy! I wish I could have had rib stakes in the beggining, and jamons and sliced meats in the end of the course, in concerning my stomach availability as a whole. I really recommend this restrant, but if you are alone bus taking traveller, you might consider to have some possibility in taking a taxi on the way back. Bus schedule is tight and limited.
La propuesta de un menú basado en en el cerdo resulta original y sorprendente. Mucho sabor, excelente servicio y sin duda una experiencia que merece la pena conocer. Además el comedor con la cocina vista es de lo más agradable y bonus point por el mimo hacia el producto local!
Me encanto,es un restaurante muy bonito por dentro , por fuera no da esa apariencia. Servicio muy atento y muy buena cocina
