Captain D's - Lenoir City

The Captain D's in Lenoir City is the worst restaurant I have ever been to.

Our experience today was extremely frustrating. We waited in the drive-thru for 20 minutes after we had already paid, so leaving was not an option. We ordered one piece of fish, but it was placed in a box meant for another part of our order. We clearly requested two orders of lobster rolls, which means we expected a total of four rolls. Instead, we only received two rolls, and they weren’t even properly boxed—just carelessly wrapped. We also asked for vinegar, but received everything else except that. A staff member went inside to retrieve our additional rolls about five minutes ago and asked us to park. Honestly, if the service is going to be this poor, it might be best to close until there are enough trained staff available. Our order wasn’t even large.

This restaurant was thoroughly disorganized. The woman who seemed to be directing the staff was unprofessional, casually chewing on a straw and walking away when we asked her a question. The fish was overcooked, the hush puppies were undercooked, and the fries were served cold. To make matters worse, they had no ice, and the drinks from the machine were lukewarm. We waited over 20 minutes for our order, despite the fact that there were only two other customers—one couple dining and a man who was still waiting for his order. The waiting customer mentioned he had been there for over 30 minutes, and he continued to wait even longer after that. I would give this place zero stars if I could!

The restaurant definitely needs some updating and repairs. A section in the middle was cordoned off because of a leak in the ceiling, and there was visible water damage on the walls with the paneling showing signs of bowing and tearing. We were the only customers there and were told we would have to wait five minutes for the fish, which we were okay with. However, when our plates arrived, it was clear that most of the food had been pre-cooked and left sitting, as it was barely warm. It didn’t taste fresh at all. Overall, this was not what I usually expect from Captain D's, and it was quite disappointing.

Need to just shut the place down......ordered a 4 pc dinner as me and my wife were going to split it as usual it was not correct. I got 3 pcs of fish with fries and okra as a side. The order of okra that i got i literally fit on 1 stab with the fork (literally 1 bite). I asked for ketchup malt vinegar and got butter sour cream. Never complained about the consistent screw ups but it really is time. Shut the place down!
