My friend came from Charlotte to eat at noon, so I took her to try as I had?t had a chance to try it since moving to Lenoir. It's super easy to find, just look for the straw umbrellas at the front. Parking on the front is on Main Street, as you might expect in a small city in downtown. We were immediately helped, and our server was very informative and fast, as well as friendly. They are located in the middle of a menu change - so they let us know what they don't have and a list of these items also made available. That was the only uncomfortable part of our visit. The food was delicious. I tried the grilled cheese and her famous tucker? Barn soup (tomato basil). She also informed us that they made all soups in the house-big plus for me! My friend had the chicken salad Croissant and a salad. Her salads are quite large and she said tasteful. She was so full that she had to take everything, but a bite from her sandwich home. But they also enjoyed their food. Would recommend looking for good American cuisine in a cool little place in downtown.
The menu was very limited when we were there but but the tomato basil soup and the pimento cheese dip were amazing. My husband got a chicken sandwich and it was great. The staff are friendly and always checking to see if everything was good. Will go back.
What a great place and so damn friendly! I was eating dinner last night and just drinks tonight, the menu is suffering due to the economy but still delivered. The beer was cold and must say while I work I feel like I can stop here every day without issue. Having never been to Lenior before this was a good find. I recommend.
Myself and a friend went here for a visit from Gastonia, NC on Wednesday. We were very impressed with the place. The food, the waiter and the service was all great! The owner and her moma was very friendly and so was the staff. Will definitely go back!
