Aj's Family Steakhouse - Lenoir

We had to dry our wet plates with napkins at our table. The food on the buffet appeared burnt or unappealing. We did our best to be cautious with what we ate, but now I'm genuinely worried about the possibility of getting sick. I definitely won’t be returning; the experience left me too uneasy to eat here again.

The food was great! I was a bit concerned that my grandson wouldn't eat since I found out they didn't have chicken nuggets. However, everyone played along with the "T-Rex Food" story I made up for him, and he ended up trying some new dishes! Haha, the staff were fantastic!

The food wasn't fresh and was overcooked, but some items were enjoyable. However, the breakfast buffet is exceptional; I'd give it 5 stars for that!

3 stars because some of the food on the buffet was cold and/or dry, like it had been sitting there for a while. The atmosphere was good. The toilet in the men's room looked like someone had eaten taco bell and stopped there to explode.

This restaurant changes its hours day to day. The food on the bar is consistently greasy, old, dried out. They need to close down. They continue to blame Covid for their problems with lack of employees and menu items.
