It seemed to be getting renovated for a while, but that is no longer the case. As of the date of this review, there is no sign of any activity at the restaurant.
An historic and traditional pub with many 'local ' patrons getting together and relaxing. We happened upon it and were in time to secure a table for a well-cooked and delicious Sunday lunch with all the usual trimmings
Visited on impulse for lunch. We had salmon and sea bass, both beautifully cooked, and very generous portions. Lovely desserts. Service pleasant if a little slow, but we didn't mind that as everything was obviously freshly prepared.
We ordered from the Valentine's menu which was special and varied. The food was fantastic and the portions huge. We were so full we brought our pudding home! Friendly service too. We'll definitely be back.
