Stopped in for dinner on a road trip. The home style food was delicious, and service was friendly and quick. The chicken fried chicken, fried okra, bacon wrapped hamburger steak and sweet potato fries with brown sugar sauce were all delicious. There is shuffleboard in the waiting area, as well as a small gift shop. Kid-friendliness: Our kids were entertained by the shuffleboard and trinkets. Service: Dine in

I've been waiting for about an hour without any food, so I decided to write a review. The waitress hadn't even come by to check on us until just now, as I was typing, when she asked if we had ordered yet. Yes, we ordered 45 minutes ago. The food better be amazing after this wait... I'll update after the meal. However, we ultimately got up and left after seeing three other tables served before us, and they told us our order was next. I cannot recommend this place. The Prairie House Cafe is the perfect spot to bring your family and friends for a delightful home-cooked meal. The food is not only tasty, but the portions are usually generous—no worries if you can’t finish, as to-go boxes are readily available. Connie's homemade desserts are absolutely irresistible. The wait staff, including Geri and Linda, are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home. If you haven’t visited yet, you’re truly missing out on the best dining experience in Butler County.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and it made for a fun visit. They also sell charming little locally made trinkets. The atmosphere has a lovely, cozy hometown vibe. For lunch, the price per person was very reasonable, ranging from $1 to $10.
