Contribuisci feedbackYes, a ski area will be a premium, but with average eating, the cheapest and very common wein through the bottle an eye irrigation 49 euro, combined with the most exciting live band that could not sing in the mood, we would advise them...avoid the dinner here. the servier staff was attentive and delightful, but our whole meal was totally spoiled the terrible band. our meal consisted of 1 small glass rosé, 2 glasses red, 2 net and 2 coffee. 110 euro. ouch
Beautiful location, beautiful and cozy. a very good waiter. he was extremely unwilling, dismissed and really didn't want to serve us. he ruined what might have been a very beautiful evening. I wouldn't go back to this. eating was ok, very expensive for what it is, but that would have been acceptable if we were served properly. bad experience
After we were 2 nights before and a member of the group that stayed at another visit in the hotel, we had high expectations to our booking. Unfortunately, our expectations were met with devastating disappointment. 3 steaks, 160 €/each, all ordered to the same kitchen,...but with very drastic distinction in what we get. the self-announced man paul could not deal with our accusations and went to reduce, suffered and laugh about members of our group. we were told that in France this type of steak is cooked by steak, after we are then taken chef's recommendation for steak, all various cooked steaks are served unexpectedly, we were this medium. after steak eaten all over the world, a delicious côte de boeuf, ruined by cooked under rare and well made at 2 places. I was also told that blue and rare are the same in France, just not the case. I will talk to the director of business to discuss what will be done. I would avoid booking this restaurant and going to another of the many major restaurants in meribel.
I am actually writing this review, one of only a handful I have ever written to warn anyone from the bad experience we had at this restaurant 4/3/20. The ambiance and the music were absoloutly amazing. The band was incredible 'hook '. Both English and French...songs and took requests. (best part of the experience) The service was slow and they were obviously too busy as it was very hard to get the attention of the waiters. This is a restaurant I have always wanted to try because the yellow chicken for 2 was something I have always fancied abiet slightly out of my price range when I was working here. We got the chicken and honestly I 've never been so dissapointed. Chicken im guessing sous vide I was hoping for a whole roast chicken and was looking forward to it like you wouldn 't beleive. What we got actually tasted raw. I am a chef so I know sous vide cooking therefore I ate it but my girlfriend couldn 't stomach the leg. The chicken looked pale and unappetizing. A blast under the grill or roast would have been much more appealing. I ate it as I was starving but well and truely the worst dish I 've had since being in meribel. No favour, bad texture, not cooked particularly well in my Opinion. Sauce was fine Sides roasted turnip with rosemary cooked well flavor ok strange accompaniment to the chicken. Rice terrible plain white rice no seasoning, no butter, not even any herbs. I love chicken and rice but plain white rice, chicken and jus just seemed such a strange mix. Had to add some of the bitter jus to the rice just to get some description of flavor. ALl this for the cheap price of 40 euros per person! (criminal) We opted for a side portion of truffle mash (15 euros), not the smooth mash I am used to, it actually has little lumps in which is a shame, but the flavor was very good. Still hungry we had desserts Fondant and a Paris heart Paris dish was good, fondant was undercooked all chocolate and hardly any of the actual cake, everyone has a preference on this, but it was basically a bowl of chocolate Ganache which I think is too overpowering. Drinks were very good with a good selection of gins. Bill came to 174 euros. 3 drinks, chicken two desserts. I said it before and I will say it again, that is the most dissapointed i have been in such a long time. Please do not waster your money., there are so many better places in meribel.
We discovered le 80 meribel last December and since we again many paintings! Food menu offers fine cuisine and also local dishes such as fondue savoyarde. everything is delicious and very good. the choice of the weine is amazing (they have a large cave. with hundreds of bottles) and sommelier give very good advice. waitress and waitress made us a fuss, they are very efficient, thanks to all!!!
