Meribar - Les Allues

This is the perfect place for a drink after a long day skiing! Great location - right at the bottom of the slopes! Excellent pizza, good happy hour and a fab live band! Definitely worth a visit!

All seems well until you pay for your drinks. expensive expensive expensive..4.5 Euros for a toffee vodka shot 8.5 for a beer. and a 28 euro jug of beer only fills 3 x 500ml glasses. and then there is the crisps; Walkers 22g 3 EURSOS A PACKET! Come on...here are lots of other places in Meribel with good live music and reasobale prices.

On a sunny afternoon after a day's skiing, this is a great bar to visit. It had great live bands every afternoon. The range of craft beers was good if expensive. It seemed to be a very popular apres bar and was packed every afternoon. Didn't try the food so can't comment. The fabric of the place could do with a bit of TLC but the staff were very friendly.

If you're skiing back into Meribel this is literally the first bar you'll see, across the road from where the minibuses and taxis queue up.

I can not fault the food , although we were having something quick to eat the light meals available were ok and from ordering to getting our meals was fairly reasonable. The only downside was that the initial service was poor. It was middle of the day, the place was pretty quiet compared to other times we had visited and the staff member allocated to the initial outside area was distracted from his duties by his persistance in trying to chat up a female standing close by. We were not the only party who had to wait for another staff member to come outside and take our orders. But once this happened everything seemed to flow ok. Was just initially frustrating for us and the party sitting nearby.
