You have an open wood oven burning which provides a different kind of warmth and charm than you experience in other places. The owners are great, friendly and ready to do anything to ensure your experience is nothing short of wonderful. The servings are big, to say the least. They have the traditional Savoie dishes such as fondue, raclette, tartiflette, etc. Plus other offerings such as duck, fish and beef steaks. Great food. Wine list is not massive. Only drawback. Afterwards when you have had your fill, bottles of génépi, limoncello and amaretto are brought to you table for you to help yourselves. This restaurant is just a great place to relax, have a laugh and enjoy good food and good company. A must visit after skiing all day. Cannot recommend it enough.
I first went here 16 years ago and love it. Cosy and warm but also with fantastic food. The Rossini is fantastic and the four gras is delicious. The home made deserts are good with the tiramisu the best. It's different and crunchy but fantastic. Love it. Just what you need after a day skiing.
This resturant is one of the best in Contamines and well worth the short walk. The food is excellent with meats .seafood and all local specialities . Service is pleasant and helpfull. The room is a mixture of chic and charm with the pizza oven giving a warm glow that envelopes the whole room
We had a super meal here - lovely unpretentious atmosphere, great value and one of the best homemade pizzas I have ever eaten. Throughly recommended!
We booked in advance from England for New Year's Eve and at the time there was no mention of the menu being any different. We arrived for our booking with our two children and looked at the menu that was placed in front of us which made us absolutely panic as the set menu, even for children, was 75 euros per person! The waitress really apologised and told us that she had felt like calling us as the menu had only just been changed by the owner! However, she didn't and we've never done this before as it is so very embarrassing but we walked out...and then walked to every single restaurant in Les Contamines to try and find somewhere to have a meal....We were very lucky with Le Husky and were welcomed with open arms..!!!
