We were a bit skeptical at first but it all came together beautifully. And of course the service was impeccable.
Great for your morning pain au chocolat and cup of coffee or afternoon tea and cake. Not fancy but friendly and with a great outside seating area to chill and look at the mountains
We have been using La Cordee for many decades now (we come to hike in the region for a month or so each year) and its fortunes have waxed and waned. Currently its on the up again and a very popular place for families and for the "older men" to gather for a glass of red, coffee, a chat and for a meal. Judging by last weekend its doing very well indeed: we stopped by after a gruelling six hours in the mountains above for a family birthday pancake.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and La Cordee – excellent food (especially steaks and tartar). Service is perfect, multilingual host is extremely friendly, prices are very decent. No doubt we will be back.
We had several dinners, including New Year's Eve dinner at La Cordée. The portion sizes were excellent and the quality was good. The prices were very reasonable. Our teenagers, usually quite particular in what they like, enjoyed the restaurant as well. We enjoyed the crêpes, fondue, raclette and spaghetti as well as the Mövenpick ice-cream for dessert. The soups were excellent. The bathrooms were clean. The staff was courteous and attentive.A very pleasurable dining experience.
