Hong Kong Gardens - Lethbridge

Just ordered the dinner for 4 for a recent birthday lunch and I would have to give it a poor rating. The food was of cheap quality and was very close to that of a food court only worse. The food was cold and of poor quality. We did not mind the won ton soup or the deep fried shrimp but we were not impressed with much else, sorry to say.Would not recommend for take out but may be better if ordered in the restaurant but reading other reviews now, may not be the case.

TAKE OUT ORDER: We spent $57 on chicken fried rice, ginger beef, chicken soo guy with lemon sauce, and broccoli with beef. I found the prices high for the quality of food. It was just like food court fare.The food was not made to order. It was ready immediately and when I got home everything was cold. The rice was mediocre and a surprisingly small portion. The ginger beef was a large portion but it was soggy and chewy. The chicken soo guy was great. The broccoli looked nice and there was plenty but it tasted fishy. I would not recommend this restaurant.

My daughter decided to call in an order and she was told it would be suitable for a family of 5. The order came to just shy of $100.The order was delivered and we found that the meat inside the chicken balls was tough, over cooked and hard. You could tell it was previously deep fried, left to sit, and deep fried another time or two.The dried ribs were even worse. Overcooked and for what meat were on them was blackened and tough. The order of beef was suitable as were the shrimp and what they classified as chow mein.Overall, the meal was of very poor quality and seemed like, beings it was a delivery to West Lethbridge, they decided to throw what was left deep fried into a box and let it go.I would not recommend this restaurant until they got their act together and made the decision to serve what they would expect to be served!!!!WE WILL NEVER EAT OR ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN!!

Set lunch menu with few varieties is reasonably priced. Portion is good in quantity. Taste is in par with other similar places though not great. Quick service. Adequate parking. Large accommodation is possible.

Went into Hong Kong Gardens last night and had a good experience. The staff were attentive and the food was good. The food came out extremely quick to the point that I was worried about how quick it came out. However the quality was good and the presentation was nice as well. The restaurant had several people in it but they had on enough staff to take care of everyone. We were greeted promptly and asked several times throughout the night if we were ok and if we needed anything else. The room was clean and the tables had a nice appearance with clean table clothes. We really enjoyed the experience and have no complaints. It was clean, quick, the staff were kind and professional. We will return. Thank you.
