The owners were friendly and welcoming, and I learned that they had recently taken over the business less than a year ago. I opted for two slices of pepperoni pizza, which was delicious. The crust was hot and tasty. I would definitely return to this place in the future.
Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant when I tried to use a voucher that they refused to accept, a situation that had occurred over six months prior under the previous owner. Frustrated, I had to involve law enforcement. The pizza was decent, but it lacked sauce. The bread, however, was still good and crunchy. This establishment needs to make more of an effort to support small businesses and bring back customers.
I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. I enjoy trying new places in Lethbridge, and one way I do this is by taking advantage of half-price offers in Lethbridge. I came across a gift card for this restaurant and decided to give it a try. I ordered a pizza and went to pick it up with my $50 gift card (my order total was $47). When I gave the gift card to the cashier, he informed me that they had just purchased the restaurant a month ago and did not honor the gift card. I explained to him that when you purchase a company, you also inherit any outstanding gift cards. He then offered to charge me $25 to keep me happy. I was confused and pointed out that the gift card was for $50, so I should not be charged. He insisted on charging me $25 and writing a note on the gift card for me to use the remaining $25 on my next order. I was upset and told him no, the $50 gift card should cover my costs and that there are likely more gift cards out there like mine. Overall, the pizza was not good, it tasted like cardboard and lacked sauce. I do not recommend this place.
For a hole in the wall type of space there is what. Staff is an average personality. Food lacks quality.
I have been searching for an edible pizza in Lethbridge for a long time and I have always been disappointed. However, the pizza at I-Rock is so far beyond disappointing that it verges into disgusting. The crust is effectively a thin corrugated cardboard, the toppings...are meagre to the point of being virtually non-existent, the sauce tastes like cheap sweetened ketchup, and the cheese is a leathery plasticky distasteful mess that would stick in your throat were it not for the revolting amount of cheap grease that lubricates this pseudo-pizza along with your arms and your shirt. The best thing you can do with this pizza is feed it to someone you really hate. If it wasn't for the inordinately cheery and friendly people behind the counter, this horrible excuse for a pizza place would have rated a TERRIBLE.
