This restaurant is excellent for delicious pasta dishes, including sausage and swiss chard (bietola).
The pizza at this restaurant has quality ingredients and generous portions. However, the pizza tends to be very watery, with the cardboard box arriving completely wet and the liquid seeping onto the pizza itself. It seems like they might not be draining the mozzarella before putting it on the pizza. This has happened to me twice, so overall I would not recommend them. However, two years later I decided to give the restaurant another try and had a very good experience.
I might sound a little harsh, but I used to come to Dal Notaro so often with my husband and daughter because of the atmosphere and great savoury food and we were both left this time with wanting for more : we both started with a Burrata di bufala campana su fresella di grano duro con pomodorini e verdurine. It looked amazing, but was lacking taste and very difficult to eat. As a main course my husband took an Entrecôte di manzo del territorio alla griglia: excellent meat but served with the same vegetables as the starter which is a big mistake in a restaurant. Personally I very much enjoyed a tasty Spaghettone con crema di pecorino, pepe bianco e carciofi croccanti. The wine that was suggested was not as tannic and with character as we could have expected from the recommandation of the waiter. On the bill were added coffees we were not even proposed. In average the food was not bad, but not amazing. The whole experience was not typical Italian as in our memories…
This is a fantastic spot for Italian cuisine. I love coming here for their delicious pizzas, but their other menu items are also fantastic. The prices are very reasonable too.
