Mild for the time of year and we could sit outside, the welcome was warm and improved all the time. Wine list small but very suitable , excellent Chenin blanc - we had the weekend menu , mostly fresh fish , all cooked to perfection and really good value. It was exactly what we were looking for a nice spot of lunch. If the opportunity arises , we will go back .
Booked to go to this restaurant....the food was very good especially the sea food...wonderful...starter was amazing camanbert stuffed with chorizo and tomatoes....then pork with veg and lovely potatoes and ceme brûlée for desert the wine was good and service was lovely although the lady serving was a bit pushed as she was on her own......for two having a set menu of 22euros plus wine came to 55euros great price.....the setting is lovely and the music was good .try worth a visit
We decided to make a return visit to Le Patio restaurant whilst in Leucate and it was certainly a good decision! This time we chose from the Sunday special menu's recommended by the Chef, the food was really excellent with extremely generous portions! The service was good and the price very reasonable for the quality of the meal
Let me start with the good things. The restaurant is located in a nice house in the village of Leucate. You can dine in a nice patio decorated with taste. Further, there is a parking not too far away making the restaurant very accessible. The owner is very friendly. She will usually try to catch you as you are passing by. So much for the good part. Now, let us go to the not-so-good part. The food is really neither special nor good. I would even say it is rather expensive for its poor quality. I had the Leucate Salad which was still full of earth. Then came a rather dull and dry fish dish with chorizo slices. My wife had a foie gras terrine which was obviously not homemade (despite been named so in the menu.) Her Parillade was not made with fresh fish (despite the owner saying so.) The clueless staff who named the dishes wrong deserves also a special mention. To make everything even worse, there was a music show. No idea where they found that singer. He was so patheticThere are many better restaurants than this one in Leucate Village.
We visited El Patio for lunch and have to say it was lovely, the terrace was very comfortable the service was excellent and the food was delicious. We will definitely be visiting there again
