It was not the best Japanese I have eaten but perhaps I need to try a few more dishes but good value lunch never the less.
With parking space just outside the entrance it is very handy, getting to the seating area is interesting as you walk past the busy kitchen. It seems a little chaotic, but it works, and I suppose part of the ambience of the restaurant. The food though, is very good. Everything we ordered tasted great although, as with nearly every Japanese we have been to, they do not have a concept of timing so nothing comes out in any order or at the same time. Would we go again: when staying in Leura, we have always tried to make it here.
Nothing outstanding here Good clean food though I expected better for the rating it has. Good to make a reservation though as Saturday night was busy.
We read about Hana before leaving the south coast of NSW and it did not disappoint. Authentic Japanese food cooked by Japanese and other diners were the same origin. Choice of chopsticks or forks, fresh food cooked to perfection.
"braised tofu" wss fresh tofu swimming...drowning...in soup of ancient vegetables [falling apart & flavourless] and unknown sauce
