We ordered sandwiches, coffee then also paid for their traditional flowerpot scenes as a treat for after lunch. Sad that the scones first come, then... the not so nice coffees (cold) then the roasted sandwiches that were not very nice either. The whole experience was very disappointing, and to add it, the scenes were rocks and unusable. I'm so sorry, but I had to be told.
After hearing great reviews of this famous restaurant, we decided to give it a try. We were told to take a seat and someone would come to take our order. After a wait, we approached the counter to order. The waitress told us to wait for another waitress to come take our order. We ended up ordering tea and scones. The scones were very dry and the tea arrived 10 minutes after we had finished eating the scones. Overall, the service was lacking.
We decided to eat the decor here. We ordered milkshakes that were very good, they slept like milkshakes of old times. When my daughter asked for almond milk, she was asked if she wanted ice cream and cream, what I always think is... a nice thing to do. Food was okay, very cheap. Big serves. Service was nice. But the delivery of our meals was staggered. All in all nice lunch. I'd go back.
Coffee was great, but the service was terrible. The young girl who carries a mediator who served us was rude and seemed angry that we were there and needed service. You know what you want? Was that what she started. It cost her coffee, but she won't go back for service.
A cafe in the heart of Leura with a quirky interior and decor, but an extensive menu, good food at reasonable prices and friendly service.
