But now has become "Au jasmin de damas" a Franco-syrian restaurant, with typically Mediterranean mezze and a plat du jour. All freshly prepared with love. I you like that style, you won't regret.
This restaurant was closed for 3 months, I thought definitely closed. The owner told me that the operation was for sale and should have completed, but at the last minute fell through. So you can get freshly prepared salads and wraps, some pasta, for light money. If it's light you want, you'll be right here.
We found it while passing by, the plates looked colourful so we decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised that the prices were the same as for lunchtime. We took the vegetarian plate, an assortment of cold and warm mezze, it was very good, the taboule was made of a lot of parsley, yummy, and the lady accepted the changes we suggested in the plate. The plate was 10 euros, very well presented. The salads were excellent, the falafels maybe too dry for our taste though. For dessert, for an extra 2 euros we took a flan with orange water and pistachios ( a lot ) and a semolina and almond cake, both delicious. The service excellent, with a smile in extra! (Which is a rarity in Paris). The place is super clean, well decorated and maintained with care by the two sisters. It might not be the best Syrian food we got in our life, but the best in Paris for the price.
