The sausages were tasty, and the melted brie was perfectly toasted and served with a side salad. The mustard was served from a jar with a spoon, a nice touch. The service was efficient, despite the busy crowd, and the tables were kept clean. The prices were reasonable, and we would highly recommend this place without hesitation.
On a busy Sunday in Lewes, we discovered a light, airy, and peaceful cafe. The food has always been good, and during this visit I enjoyed a soup with sourdough toast. The soup was tasty, but the toast resembled white sliced bread rather than sourdough. When I asked the young man serving us about this, he insisted it was sourdough from a well-known baker, although I had my doubts. Despite a slight delay in receiving menus, the service was friendly and efficient. It would be nice to have a jug of water available instead of just a glass of tap water. Although the young staff seemed a bit bored, I would still revisit this little oasis of calm that offers good food at a reasonable price.
We had a pleasant lunch today. We both enjoyed the large jacket potatoes with tuna and crowned with a beautiful salad and coleslaw. The café is lovely and the owner and the girl working there provide excellent customer service. A definite must-visit in Lewes.
Really good varied menu. I had 2 tablespoons, while a little dense were very delicious. my man had edible sandwiches that were freshly tasty. also good laugh.
Wonderful cozy room, quiet atmosphere, overwhelming and generous family owners. we received the most friendly attentive service, tasty eating and lightness, without enjoying at the end of the day. I can't wait to come back!
