The restaurant behind the Farm Market is charming. It was busy when we visited, with the Farm Market being packed. I enjoyed a delicious steak, while my daughter ordered the salmon and my husband had the chicken - all of which were very good. Although we did not have dessert, the deep dish cookie looked very tempting.
I absolutely adored this charming restaurant. The menu offered a wide array of options, making it difficult to decide. The staff were all incredibly friendly. The food was delicious, especially the buffet. I couldn't get enough of the sweet mint tea! Afterwards, I browsed the small store which had incredibly fresh produce and irresistible baked goods and chocolates. The show took place under the pavilion on a lovely summer night, providing excellent entertainment. I will definitely be returning in the future.
We were back in the area for the long 4th of July weekend and wanted to try someplace new, so we picked Ard 's Farm. We were not disappointed. The menu was full of interesting choices. We ordered the fish and chips, steak and sausage jambalaya, chicken caprese, salmon stir fry and the lamb meatballs. Dinner came with their soup and salad bar, which, while not huge, was fresh and of good quality. The shrimp curry soup was very good. It 's aroma was enticing and the taste was light for a curry but also just hot enough. To paraphrase my daughter, They 're not afraid of flavor, and that 's promising for the rest of dinner. The presentation of all the main dishes was excellent. The salmon stir fry and chicken caprese were beautiful and the jambalaya and lamb meatballs were fun to look at. Each meal was well prepared and tasty. The chicken was well seasoned and still juicy. The jambalaya was full of spicy flavor. The fish and chips were done just right. The salmon had a gently sweet teriyaki glaze on top of moist flesh. But the lamb meatballs were superb. It is difficult to overstate how enjoyable the lamb meatballs were. The flavor in the meatballs was unquestionably lamb, strong and savory. The plum sauce was lightly sweet garnished with fresh mint leaves. The dish was completed with creamy mashed potatoes and a sprinkling of salty, tangy feta cheese. Every bite of meat, potatoes and sauce was perfectly balanced in flavor. (My daughter agreed the salmon was very good, but the lamb was excellent. For dessert, the table shared a slice of raspberry cake and a slice of chocolate turtle cake. The raspberry cake was a bit of a let down; although the raspberry flavor was good, the cake was much too dry. But the chocolate turtle cake was delicious.
Great food and atmosphere. Very enjoyed the shop. Chocolate caramels were the best I've ever eaten.
