Jj's Pizza - Lewisport

I called the restaurant and was put on hold for several minutes. When I called back about 15 minutes later, the same person answered and told me to hold again. He then cursed and said he wasn't going to answer that phone again, so I decided to hang up. It's really unfortunate. I understand they might be short-staffed, but this is hurting the owner's business. Earlier, I ordered pizza for my son, and he said it was good.

If you live in the area, JJ's should definitely be a go-to spot for your dining out endeavors! They offer some specialty pizzas that you'll find yourself craving regularly. One of my personal favorites is the popper pie—it's spicy, creamy, and simply irresistible! But they don't just excel at pizzas; their sandwiches are equally impressive. The buffalo chicken sandwich, in particular, has been known to touch my soul. They also have a solid selection of burgers, salads, wings, and more—perfect for accommodating even the pickiest family member who only eats those options. Another must-try is their pizza roll; it's not the small Totino's rolls you might be familiar with—this one is more like a calzone, and you can customize it with whatever fillings you desire.

I didn't receive the food I ordered, and it lacked flavor. The customer service was terrible; they told me to bring the food back, which was laughable, and the manager was too busy to speak with me. I won't be returning or recommending this place to anyone.

Not authentic at all! The About section suggests that the owners are knowledgeable about genuine Italian cuisine, and maybe even Italian themselves, but that's not the case. The Stromboli they serve isn't actually a true Stromboli. It resembles a sub or sandwich, which, to me, are essentially the same thing. If you're expecting a traditional Stromboli, you're likely to be very disappointed, as they have been making it this way for over 30 years. Regardless of how they prepare it, it always ends up being just a sandwich on sub rolls. On a positive note, the staff is friendly and eager to make things right. They're good people. I ended up exchanging the Stromboli for a pizza instead.
