Meriwethers American Grill - Lewiston

I 've been here a few times- this last time for dad 's 75th bday celebration- per usual the servuce was fantastic- food was wonderful too! I highly recommend the Beast Burger on a gluten free bun- I 've also enjoyed their steak salad in the past. And their onion rings tater tots r yummy too (though incidental gluten exposure in those of course. while here today there was a groomsmen party, several misc couples our special needs table... all handled by the local staff with genuine patience care. Complimentary ice cream for my dad 's bday too. Highly recommend for a good local place- whether staying at the hotel or not. Note the bathrooms are located in the front lobby.

My wife made the regrettable mistake of celebrating our 15th anniversary with Meriwether's. $125 for awful food and service. When I expressed my displeasure, we were pacified with a frozen, inedible creme brule. Pathetic. It was my most disappointing dining experience ever. Salt in my wounds? Muer's parent never responded to my follow-up email. One star, simply so I can post this review.

4 of us ladies went in for dinner. Took over 20 minutes to be acknowledged. After 35 minutes still no water or order taken. After 45 minutes we walked out. I had been there a few years ago and it was amazing, we were so disappointed!!! We will never go back!!!

Terrible waiter, he took an hour to take our order. Then didn't put it in to the kitchen for another 30 min. We were there for 2.5 hrs and only able to get 2 drinks. I ordered the fish and chips for $18 I would hope to get more than 12 fries.

Upon entering the hotel, we made our way past the lobby to the bistro. We were warmly welcomed and instructed to find our own seating. We chose a high top table in the bar area with a lovely view of the patio. The bistro was clean and inviting, and although there were only a few other tables occupied when we arrived at noon on a weekday, it quickly filled up. Our server, Bert, was professional, friendly, and great to chat with! We enjoyed engaging conversations with him while he provided excellent service. The freshly brewed iced teas came in large, oversized beer mugs, which we absolutely loved! We started with the spinach artichoke dip served with toasted crostini, and it was simply amazing! For our main courses, we ordered the smoked brisket sandwich and the chicken Caesar wrap, both of which were incredibly delicious. The regular and sweet potato fries on the side were perfectly crispy! Overall, our experience was five-star all the way!
