Bae's Kitchen - Lewisville

I have been a loyal customer of Bae's Kitchen for almost every week for the past 8 months. As I find myself going through the longest period without Bae's, I am reminded of the amazing food, experience, and consistency that I have ever experienced. Their spicy chicken sandwich is unbeatable. I cannot recommend it enough. Just thinking about it brings a smile to my face, as it was the highlight of my week, consistently exceeding my expectations. The restaurant is always clean, and the owners and cook are some of the friendliest people you will ever meet. Unfortunately, I no longer live in the area, so my relationship with Bae's has come to an end. However, I hope that after reading this review, your journey with Bae's is just beginning.

I recently tried halal birria tacos for the first time and they were delicious! The flavors were amazing and authentic. The restaurant also offers a variety of options including boba, burgers, chicken tenders, and more. I definitely plan on returning with friends to try out different dishes.

The BBQ chopped beef was tasty, but it was let down by the unimpressive sauce. It seems like the chefs should taste test all ingredients before finalizing the dish. The loaded fries had dry and tough chicken nuggets, with the fries becoming soggy and resembling mashed potatoes. The Kedar Badam milkshake had a slight hint of saffron, but it might be better to clearly specify the type of nut used to avoid confusion. The soft tacos were generously filled, and they came with a small cup of dipping sauce, which seemed like an interesting fusion. The Boba tea was good, although there could have been a better drink choice available. It was fortunate to find an empty table in the small restaurant space, as it wasn't convenient to take the food elsewhere to eat.

In a word: unexceptionable. The food is incredibly under-seasoned, and as a result, quite bland. The restaurant is fairly dirty and it is clear that tables are not wiped down between guests, or if they are little care is given to ensure that they are wiped down well. That being said they get an extra star because of the outstanding service, the service was quick and friendly, and the food, however unexceptionable, came out fairly quickly (probably because they save time by not seasoning it).

Finally got to go here and try the halal birria taco that I?ve been craving. Didn?t disappoint the taco shell was crispy with soft shredded beef and melted cheese with extremely flavorful birria soup. I also ordered chicken zinger with Mac and cheese which was quite possibly the best flavor combo I?ve ever had. I washed this meal down with classic brown sugar milk tea with boba. Will definitely come back to try the other times on the menu!
