Grimaldi's Pizzeria - Lewisville

Fantastic "Brooklyn" style pizza, and I'm saying this as someone who actually lived in Brooklyn. My husband enjoys their gluten-free pizza and thinks it's amazing. While it is a little on the expensive side, it's definitely worth it and brings back memories of our old neighborhood. I would highly recommend it!

Grimaldi's is a pizzeria originally from Brooklyn that has expanded to 10 states across the country, including several locations in the Dallas area. We recently visited their restaurant at The Shops in Highland Village and found our experience to be satisfactory. We tried their signature thin-crust, coal-fired brick oven pizzas with custom toppings. One pizza had a perfect crust, while the other was a bit soggy, but overall, the taste was enjoyable. The salad that accompanied our meal was decent as well—neither remarkable nor disappointing, just an average salad.

Ordered uber eats delivery. I live close but had anesthesia earlier. The food arrived ice cold and hard. Also the packaging was not sealed. It's 2022, it is a safety hazard to not put tamper proof seals on food. It's literally a sticker. I'm immunocompromised from organ transplant a few months ago and I expected the bare minimum from a self proclaimed upscale restaurant. Pizza was inedible as, again, it was ice cold. Heated the pizza up and it tasted pretty bad so I tossed it. Ubereats refuses to refund, because why would such a greedy corporation ever be expected to do the job they're paid for properly?!

So yummy! I had the small pesto pizza and added red sauce. Ate every bite myself. I love Grimaldi’s!

Our waiter was short and kind of snotty to one of our ladies who requested ranch (he seemed to feel it was beneath him to have it). They didn't automatically offer drink refills. The pizza was ok. Loved the topping but crust was tough and chewy. Half was very burnt. Portions for our salads were large and mine was delicious. The remainder of the staff were friendly. It was clean and had a cool atmosphere. Music was awesome although pretty loud. It was ok but not sure I will repeat it.
