Starship Bagel - Lewisville

The restaurant has a good selection of offerings, but they require extra steps to accommodate vegan options beyond a plain schmear on a bagel. Unfortunately, they seem to view this as a burden, as evidenced by the owner instructing an employee not to provide the ordered blueberry or scallion flavored schmear to a customer due to being busy. This kind of behavior has been experienced multiple times, but after the owner refused to serve the requested items and instead pushed for an easier order, the reviewer has decided to stop visiting the restaurant.

I tried the Millennial Falcon sandwich at this restaurant, which was open-faced and made with a zaatar bagel and plain vegan cheese. It was delicious! They also mentioned that they can make other variations of vegan cream cheese, such as scallion cream cheese and green olive cream cheese.

The offerings at this restaurant are good, but they need to take additional steps to accommodate vegan options beyond simply adding a basic topping to a bagel. Unfortunately, the staff's response to this request was dismissive, and today the owner failed to communicate my wife's order correctly to the employee due to being busy. They suggested a simpler option without the toppings she had requested, which are regular menu items. We have encountered similar issues before, but the owner himself refusing to serve us what we wanted because it was easier for them was the final straw. We will not be returning.
