I don't claim to have eaten at all pizza places in Lexington, but at a bunch of them. I like the deep dish 4 corner jet 10 (4 corner) now and again; but, Big City is my going to pizza, 90% of the time I get this pizza cake. I love her Hudson with banana whips and pineapples and extra cheese. I was there tonight. I'm so upset. When I showed up in my pickup, this huge man came out and went into the curb. He started shaking his apron he was wearing. A solid white cloud appeared and became bigger and bigger and sponge in the breeze! It reminded me of a Newfoundland dog who stepped out of the lake and gave a large shake that threw water everywhere. When I came in, there were huge white footprints from the kitchen through the restaurant. So funny now. The good thing about this random experience is that it proves that the crust of BIG CITY PIZZA is made right there, not in a factory somewhere. My taste buds always suspected that it was made on site from scratch. My buds were here. Stop it!
I love her food, but when I got my pizza, I looked like it was on the side.
Tent for #Lexburgerweek tried the Holy Moly Stromboli. It was good after my sister and my brother, for me I didn't care about the taste of paprika or sauce. Also added garlic knots and Mac and cheese biss. The garlic knots are a certain must. Mac and cheese are decent, I prefer something crispy. All and I gave 4 stars because most people will enjoy this place.
I want to thank Jacob The Manager for his over-the-top hospitality when I dine in, early this evening, at the Chinoe Rd location. Since I had no power at my place to warm up anything for dinner, due to the storm earlier. I decided it was a good time to visit my local pizzeria. Not knowing if they had power too. Luckily they did! And I ordered a 16-inch build your own, comprised of 11 ingredients. And I had a $5 coupon I got in the mail to cash in. Jacob The Manager decided to upgrade me with that, and offered me a better discount. Thanks Jacob The Manager. :D While waiting for my pizza, Jacob and I just exchange war stories of today 's storm and the aftermath. And I added I couldn 't think of a better place to drown my no-power blues; than on fine pizza. So basically I camped out there for the next two hours. Checking outage status on my phone while munching on pizza. And Jacob was nice enough to check in with me. Wondering if power was restored at my place. I just made jokes about the whole matter. Poor Jacob The Manager was concerned for all his food at his place not being chilled and going to waste because of the outage. Right before he stepped out for a bit, he announced that ice cream was on the house! Free and ice cream are two of my favorite things. Now combined!!! lol I had the cookies n ' cream. Jacob came back with the good news that power was restored with him. Then shortly before 8:30pm, the outage map became clear on my area. So I took that as a sign that the power was back. I thanked Jacob for letting me camp out, and waiting out the outage. He smiled and replied Anytime.
