Distilled On Jefferson - Lexington

This restaurant probably doesn't need another superlative 5-star rating, but I'll give one anyway. why? because it is impossible to overdo this restaurant. I live part time in nyc and even there it is hard to find a restaurant so Spot-on with everything: eating, service, ambiente, cocktails. where is the Michelin star? this place is so good. the meatballs, the roasted chicken, the smoked chicken, the dry smoked filet that desserts: everything was not only delicious, it was all unforgettable delicious and the service? — our waiter was so extraordinary that I was wondering if he was confusing us on someone who is famous. on jefferson distilled is a restaurant that I will not soon forget.

A wonderful atmosphere, refined menu, ideal for date night. we came to a midday meeting that was all as formal and appealing as an evening meal. the personal is attentive, the menu is well thought out. chairs are comfortable, decor is beautiful, music is appropriate. if they think of going to a special place, I highly recommend. this is not a good place to go with small children (although I am sure that they accomodate) but is perfect for date, special opportunity, it a small gathering. there is a room that can be locked for a more private event.

A small upscale restaurant in lexington. we started with the appetizer, poutine. very delicious! we ordered the lachs with spargel, goat cheese ravioli and hamburger to eat. it was all very delicious! and the chocolate mousse was brilliant.

Update My wife and I came back a year later for dinner while in town on business. Our service was a bit overwhelmed and tired from a long day. The food and everything was very good as you should expect. I will say it was just not fantastic like our last visit. We had a family outing while in Lexington on business. We had a couple or folks recommend Distilled and I must say that everything lived up to the hype. My wife and I are rarely amazed by a restaurant, it's food, staff, and atmosphere but Distilled delivered. We started with the poutine and the handmade meatballs. We had the filet, ny strip, Henry burger, and the pork chop. Finished with dessert of chocolate mouse, lemon pound cake, and Carmel ice cream. All food and the menu is pictured with this review.
