I apos;ve been trying to eat here for weeks, but they apos;ve been closed when I apos;m craving good southern soul food. Tonight I finally got to try some of their food. OMG!! DELICIOUS!! Fried chicken is so crispy crunchy and seasoned very well!! The mac cheese is FIRE!!! I will never eat chicken or Mac cheese from a chain restaurant ever again!! Found my new go to restaurant when I don apos;t feel like cooking!!!

I would rate 10 stars if I could! My pregnant gf orders from here and only here every time she uses DoorDash. Shes always cautious about ensuring the meats are thoroughly cooked but here she does not have to do that! The food is always cooked and ALWAYS good, to the point she can take a good nap after it settles. If you ever have to wait, I guarantee its WORTH THE WAIT and MONEY! This time she ordered the bbq Baked Chicken w/ or without Bar b que sauce (w/sauce) and greens and the baked max n cheese, it even comes with a type of bread, this time it was cornbread. Ever since the first time she ordered and they discovered her pregnancy, they have included sweet notes (i.e: congrats on your pregnancy mama, hope to see you when the baby is born, etc) and this time they gave her a care package of a pickle with some sauce, they are THE BEST. My gf is highly satisfied and so am I! She couldnt wait to dig in before she sent me a picture lol!

The Mamas Good Greens green beans, collards and macabd cheese were awesome The baked chicken fell off the bone. The Fried Chicken was crispy and juicy. Best foodin Lexington.

Awesome dinner. The chicken is fall off the bone good. Those green beans and yams are my favorite. Not pictured is my husbands plate. His included the Mac and cheese and collards. It was half gone before I got my phone out, LOL. Happy 3rd Anniversary! I hope you have many more.

Love ordering from JJ Mamas. Every time they load the plates with the best soul food around. The baked chicken with bbq sauce is so good and juicy. I typically get the oxtail plate but Im glad I gave the bbq chicken a try. 10/10!!
