New Peking Bistro Chinese - Lexington

We had a wonderful meal here. I don't know where others ate, but we had stoneware plates and metal utensils. The service as it is, isn't much, but what do you expect at this type of restaurant. We went up, placed our orders, sat down, and within minutes are food was brought to the table. Very hot, very tasty, and lots of it. What more do you want from a storefront restaurant. If you're looking for waitstaff service and drinks, this isn't it. That aside, we will be back for more.

Wonderful Unique Dishes. The Salt and Pepper Chicken here is absolutely wonderful and something I have rarely found at restaurants. The Black Pepper Chicken is a favorite as well, but it can be inconsistent. If ordering off the lunch menu the Spicy Shredded Beef is great and so are the Beans.

Excellent. This place has the best general tso's chicken in town. Everything is very fresh, and the vegetables are crisp and never dominated by mystery sauce like some places. If you are looking for an elegant presentation, look elsewhere. However, this food is always fresh and delicious and I haven't found another Chinese place in town that can match both the value and taste that Peking provides.

It's been a long time since we last visited Santi and her wonderful restaurant in Beaumont, but let me tell you...we missed her kindness, passion, and wonderful food. She made us Mooshu Chicken and Singapore Meifun and as always her Chicken Dumplings which deserve a Michelin Star by themselves! She does it the best in Lexington and even has folks from Hazard where her old shop was coming here for her amazing food.
