Willie Jewell's Old School -b-q

Coming from Texas, this bbq was pretty dang good. It has more of a southern flare to it with all the different sauces to choose from. Brisket was juicy and flavorful. The sausage was a lil too soft and squishy for my liking and the sides aren't the best. The fried pickles appetizers was really small for the price. The staff was super friendly, welcoming and bilingual too. Super clean and had a great atmosphere!

Overall, a very disappointing experience. The pulled pork is supposedly “smoked for hours,” but didn’t have any smoky taste. The consistency and texture of the meat was like it had been steamed and ground. The cole slaw was bland and didn’t have a lot of flavor. Same for the corn bread. The only good parts of the meal were the grape juice lemonade and the banana pudding.

Have enjoyed getting takeout several times from here. A pound of pork and 2 pints of sides feeds 3 or 4 people. The pork, baked beans, and mac and cheese are all very good. The staff are always helpful and polite.Food: 5/5

Was everyone here paid to leave a good review? Portions were tiny and no flavor. My 9 year old can make better ribs...got the 3 meat combo meal and got 2 ribs on my plate ?? kinda tasted like Chinese ribs ???Food: 1/5
