Winchell's Sports - Lexington

We took our family, a group of 13, out for lunch, and the service was outstanding. Everyone loved the food. It's a fantastic place for families!

I am not sure how I missed this place. Our first visit today. The service was great as was the food. I had the fried cornmeal oysters which were portion enough for two (but I et ‘em all). Will definitely be back every week to my new fave.

The staff was pleasant, and the atmosphere was nice. However, the prices for breakfast were quite high. The eggs had a strange aftertaste, likely due to whatever they used to cook my omelet. I wanted lunch since it was 11 AM, but I wasn’t offered that option.

During my last visit home, my friend and I went out for breakfast. I ordered the Elvis pancakes while she had the almond joy pancakes and also tried the pea salad. Everything was delicious! I’m not a fan of peas, but I would gladly eat the pea salad again.

The welcoming and friendly staff create a pleasant atmosphere in this restaurant. During my first visit, I had a great experience. They offer a nice, simple menu featuring classic breakfast items like omelets, bacon, eggs, sausage, and their exclusive "Funny Farm" dish, which I decided to try. My server was outstanding; she asked if it was my first time and provided great recommendations. When I mentioned that I'm not a fan of pepper jack cheese, she was understanding. I definitely plan to return, especially considering the excellent service and reasonable prices. The ambiance in the morning is cozy, with music and televisions playing (they even show Wildcat games!). It’s a relaxing environment—a perfect mix of comfortable lighting and volume, making it an enjoyable place to start the day.
