Kimch’i is a family restaurant held by warm and passionate people. I was delighted to be able to discover Korean cuisine in a vegan version.
I was almost mistaken with a friend in lezignan and we had very few options available. we both lived in Korea for a while and I am a Korean food lover. we chose this restaurant. it was an absolute surprise....Weil covid, the choices on the menu were relatiw few so we ordered a bibimbap (a classic dish in Korean restaurant in the west, much less in the east). frankly it was very good: fresh products and made with carefree. the owner was surprised by our love for Korean food and he offered us to taste their homemade kimchi. well, it was perfect and it brought me back a few years and east several thousand kilometers. you can really say that a korean is in the kitchen and she knows what she does. bonuns points: they had found a prestigious brand of magkeolli (korean will,) which I did not sell in stores where I live and the bill was quite decent: about 20 euro for a really big dinner with drinks (I couldn't finish and never happen).
I came here in september with 5 others for dinner. the first is that eating was ok, but much too much to cook for a person. it's a nice couple that leads this place. we waited. 45 minutes to pick up our order. the restaurant opens around 19.30 clock for dinner, but we had a booking for 8 clock. it was then that the manager put the restaurant in the door. from business to have their restaurant in less than half the capacity, this restaurant would not last in Britain. there were 16 people in the restaurant, even ourselves. it was almost 8.45 o'clock before we took our order. drinks followed briefly. then it took 45 minutes to get 6 starters. everything is fresh to order, but really? I personally had enough to wait after 30 minutes. the rest of the party was also impatient. do they also have to order the Winton mix? Why not prepare something in advance? everyone was happy with the starters when they arrived, but it wasn't worth waiting. the manager/server worked at his own in front of the house. he seemed to go in his own pace. that's screw speed. he was unproductive with his time (e.g. gets cute goes back to get serviettes) pretty sure he had no service training. they were aware that we waited for a long time when we had laid wobble rings on the table after we had waited 30 minutes for starters. After we finished our starters, it took 30 minutes to wait for the main course. 2 of our friends had the table top bbq. it began to apply when the manager came back again and again to show them how to use it. they understood what to do after they were shown but had taken their time. if they really crack instead of metal falsifications, then that would be helped. I personally had the beef bimbap I thought it was rough. I didn't cost it. but everyone else thought you were okay. one of our party loved that lamm. When we were to pay, it was 11.30 a.m. they close at 10 o'clock! it was then the manager offered a shot of sake for the wait. I refused, but some accepted. it does not make for the abyss service we have refunded. my partner and I will not be back. if they have 4 hours for a 3 curs meal, then this is the place when they want nice eating in quarters of time, they go elsewhere in lezignan.
We had an excellent meal with friends for my friend birthday. the entengrill was perfect and the service is friendly.
