A friendly warmth that they do not find in most restaurants today. the two small rooms are equipped with tables and tablecloths that do not match and are in an eclectic mix of old traditional Norman objects and other pieces and cakes that are collected here and there. just perfect.
The restaurant seems to have a regular offer of 7.50 euro steak frites. it was not good to eat and the steak was thin and better done than I would like, but for the price we felt we had eaten well. I saw another table with a much...Kunker steak, so I think if they pay more, they get a higher quality meal! puddings were made to house and very enjoyed by our children tiramisu and chocolate mousse. recommended for relaxed cheap meal.
Great restaurant. Typical Norman Inn architecture from the outside. The Inside doesn't disappoint. The owner and his two sons welcome you and put you at ease from the moment you walk in. A friendly warmth that you won't find in most restaurants nowadays. The two...small rooms are furnished with tables and tableclothes that don't match and are decorated in an ecclectic mix of old traditional Norman objects and other bits and pièces collected here and there. Just perfect. The menu is concise and the food is home made. We tried the gizzard salad. Miam miam miam followed by the beef in a Pepper sauce. The meat was sooooo tender. We will be back.
Stopped on a whim based on the flags flying off the front facade. Seemed welcoming. Packed inside and full outside but they found us a table for four. Took a little while for server to come but was super friendly and efficient. Apparent manager came...around. Ordered pichet of red wine, two steak frites which came with various little accoutrements like a shredded carrot salad, red cabbage salad and delicous grated horseradish and some tasty fruit.. Also, awarm goat cheese on toast and country ham (more like proscuitto) with the same salad sides. Shared a sundae with chocolate sauce and cream. We were the only tourists in the place. Lunch came to about 54 euros. Quaint place that we hope to return to someday.
